Some things you can't plan around

Like the civil servant exam being written in the not-super popular town you happen to be staying in, that doesn't have a lot of hostels... So no, you can't stay another nigh at the hostel you have been at the past 2 nights. So you email your amazing friend Lindsay who had mentioned she has friends in said town, and these friends turn out to be as amazing as Lindsay!



They picked us up from our hostel, visited a park, took us to a very delicious pizza restaurant, and then to their house for delicious home made coconut cake. Let us sleep in their spare room and early the next morning took us to the train station after giving us breakfast.

Brazil has been wowing me with the incredible kindness of it's people. Or maybe Lindsay just had awesome friends. Either way; I like it.
