Floating Reed Islands

Surprisingly not as awfully touristy as I thought it would be...

But no, I dont need to pay an extra 10 sols to ride around in your (awesome looking) reed boats- which now have empty water bottles in the bottom to keep them afloat...

Each island lasts 30-50 years, but the synthetic rope they use to keep the reed roots (which make up the base of the island) last forever...

Fun fact: Titicaca means "great puma" in Quechua (one of the local languages)
