Along the main strip in Uyuni are several garbage cans that say:
(clean city) (not all are accompanied by Michael Jackson graffiti unfortunately)
Unfortunately, the outskirts are bushes filled with plastic bags, ground strewn with shards of glass and a feeling of confusion (why not a landfill instead of everywhere?), frustration (how hard would it be?) and resignation (it's a third world country, I guess they have other issues to deal with...)
